Output Signals
Indicates the status of signals that the trailer module (TRM) transmits to the tow hitch cable harness. The signals are activated with the aid of the normal controls/button in the vehicle.
When taking this reading, the trailer must not be electrically connected to the socket on the tow hitch device for the vehicle. The trailer may only be connected to the socket if the trailer cable harness and its connectors are checked and fault-free.
The socket on the tow hitch device for the vehicle is available in several variants with different numbers of poles. In the socket the output signals for fog lamps and back-up (reversing) lamps are dependent on the market.
Parking lamps
Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to parking lamps
On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to parking lamps
Fog lamps
Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to fog lamps
On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to fog lamps
Stop lamp, left
Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the left-hand stop lamp
On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the left-hand stop lamp
Stop lamp, right
Off = trailer module (TRM) does not send signals to the right-hand stop lamp
On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the right-hand stop lamp
Back-up (reversing) lamps
Off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to back-up (reversing) lamps
On = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to back-up (reversing) lamps
Left turn signal lamp
Turn signal flasher off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the left-hand turn signal lamp
Turn signal flasher on = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the left-hand turn signal lamp
Right turn signal lamp
Turn signal flasher off = trailer module (TRM) does not transmit signals to the right-hand turn signal lamp
Turn signal flasher on = trailer module (TRM) transmits signals to the right-hand turn signal lamp
