Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the microphone signal cable at control module connector A. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check between:

• terminals #19 (#19) and #7 (#7)
• terminals #19 (#19) and #5 (#5).

Check the cable for the microphone signal. Check for an open-circuit.

Take a reading between control module connector terminal A#19 (#19) and handset connector terminal #1 (#21).

Check the connectors for loose connections, damaged or bent terminal pins and oxidation.

Try replacing the carphone handset or holder if no fault is found in the cable.

Remedy as necessary.
