Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the signal cable for the relay for the electric engine block heater. Check between accessory electronic module (AEM) terminal #B5 and the connector for the relay. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.

Check the ground lead for the relay for the electric engine block heater. Check between accessory electronic module (AEM) terminal #B4 and the connector for the relay. Check for an open-circuit.

Remedy as necessary.
