Checking The Component And Wiring
Check the voltage supply to the fuel pump control module and fuel pump, including relay and fuse.
Check the ground connection to the fuel pump control module and fuel pump.
Check the connector for the fuel pump control module for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the signal cable between the engine control module (ECM) and fuel pump control module.
Check for open-circuits, short-circuiting to ground and short-circuiting to voltage.
Check the connectors and cable harnesses between the fuel pump control module and fuel pump for short circuits.
Remedy as necessary.
NOTE:
The DTC may be caused by damaged fuel pump, or by damaged fuel pump control module.
