Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-7140

Condition

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the temperature sensor circuit inside the module.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

Substitute Value 

• The engine cooling fan (FC) is activated at the predefined speed
• The temperature is set to 60 °C.

Possible Source 

• Damaged engine control module (ECM).
