Condition

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) detects that the internal temperature in the engine control module (ECM) has exceeded 120 °C for at least 30 minutes at a time.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value 

• The engine cooling fan (FC) is activated at the predefined speed.

Possible Source 

• The air supply is blocked
• Extreme heat conditions.
