Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-740B

Condition 

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the CAN communication between the central electronic module (CEM) and the engine control module (ECM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• Open-circuit in the control area network (CAN) wiring
• Short-circuit between the control area network (CAN) wiring
• Internal fault in the engine control module (ECM)
• Internal fault in another control module in the same part of the control area network (CAN).
