Checking the power supply and ground terminals

Check the ABS control module connector for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Check fuse 11/9 in the fusebox in the passenger compartment.

NOTE:

If the fuse is blown, check the circuit after the fuse for a short-circuit to ground before replacing the fuse. Then replace the fuse.

For further information about the circuit after the fuse, refer to the appropriate wiring diagram.

Check the power supply cable between fuse 11/9 and the control module for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Also check the wiring between control module terminals #A8 and #A24 and ground terminal 31/95. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation . Check for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
