Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-1C01 is stored if the control module registers that the L signal is high or missing, or that a regulator fault has occurred.

Substitute Value 

None.

Possible Source 

• The generator (GEN) is not charging because of a missing energy source, a faulty central electronic module or faulty diode.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The "Generator not charging" warning lamp is lit when the engine is running
• The "Generator not charging" warning lamp is not lit when the ignition is switched on
• The battery discharges
• Low rotation speed in the starter motor.
