Checking Signal Cable

• Ignition off
• Disconnect the connector from the central electronic module (CEM)
• Disconnect the immobilizer antenna unit.

  Check the signal cable between the central electronic module (CEM) and the immobilizer antenna unit.

  Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-6C42:

  The cable between the central electronic module (CEM) terminal #14D and the immobilizer antenna unit terminal #2.

  Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-6C44:

  The cable between the central electronic module (CEM) terminal #13D and the immobilizer antenna unit terminal #3.

  Check signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

  Remedy as necessary.

Is the signal cable OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to Replacing Central Electronic Module (CEM) 

• NO 

  Refer to Verification
