Checking Start
Use the same key which previously could not start the engine. Carry out three more start attempts.
HINT: If the start attempts are carried out in quick succession, remove the key from the ignition switch for at least two seconds between each start attempt. Otherwise a new transponder check will not be carried out. (If the key is left in the ignition switch between each start attempt, a new transponder check will not occur until the ignition has been switched off for approximately 30 seconds.).
One of the following may occur:
- The engine starts every time
Refer to Communication
- The engine starts at least once
Refer to Damaged transponder
- The engine does not start.
Refer to Incorrect key
Select one of the above response options.
