Checking Cable

HINT: The fault could also have been caused by the windshield wipers sticking. 

Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16B and windshield wiper motor (6/1) terminal #3. Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #16B and rain sensor (7/149) terminal #4.

Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground.

Check the connector.

Remedy as necessary.
