Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition 

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4A45 is stored if the control module registers that the input from fuel level sensor is higher than 4 V when the ignition is switched on.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4A45 can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value 

• The fuel level is set to zero.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in the fuel level sensor or short-circuit to battery voltage.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The trip computer displays an empty fuel tank too early
• The fuel level gauge does not function.
