Condition

The rear electronic module (REM) powers the high level stop lamps directly via an output.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the rear electronic module (REM) registers that the signal at the output is too high.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key position II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
• High brake light not installed/damaged.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The stop lamp lights constantly.
• Message in display
