Replacing Control Module And Programming

Ignition off.
The LED for the PAD lamp is mounted internally in the rear view mirror and cannot be replaced. Check there are no indications that the power supply to the upper electronic module (UEM) is faulty. Check that the fault in the LED remains after the power is switched off and on again. If the fault remains, the upper electronic module (UEM) must be replaced.

NOTE: If possible, read off the programmed data from the control module before it is replaced. This should be done as this information is not stored in Volvo's central database. Switch off the ignition before replacing the control module.
