Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information UEM-0080
Condition
The upper electronic module (UEM) regularly checks the communication with the rain sensor module (RSM).
A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored If the rain sensor module (RSM) does not respond to a request from the upper electronic module (UEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed 20 seconds after the ignition is switched on. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) UEM-0080 is not stored if UEM-0081 or UEM-0082 is stored.

- Intermittent windshield wipers
- The windshield wipers operate at high speed.
Possible Source
- Open-circuit in the power supply cable for the rain sensor
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable for the rain sensor
- Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the data cable for the rain sensor
- Open-circuit or short-circuit to supply in the ground lead for the rain sensor
- Contact fault on the sensor side and/or control module side
- Defective rain sensor
- Defective control module.

- No rain sensor function.
