Condition

The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks internal functions in the control module.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers a programming fault.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on (12 V). In other words, the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can only be diagnosed when the ignition is switched from position 0 to positions I, II or III.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Programming fault in the supplemental restraint system module (SRS)
• Incorrect control module installed in the vehicle. The control module is not intended for this model.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
