If the steering wheel angle sensor (SAS) control unit registers that the voltage between the central electronic control unit (CEM) and the steering wheel angle sensor control unit differs by +/- 2 V, diagnostic trouble code SAS-0049 will be stored.

Substitute Value 

• Nothing.

Possible Source 

• Contact resistance or oxidation in the connector of the steering angle sensor control unit or steering wheel control unit.
• Internal fault in control unit.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
