Intermittent fault
Check the communication cable between gear selector control module terminal #2 and transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B31 (#B21). Check for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, intermittent faults . Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .
Remedy as necessary.
