Checking Control Unit

Remove window lift relay 2/117 from CEM socket.

Check the relay coil driver circuit for a short circuit to voltage supply by checking the voltage between #2 and ground in the relay socket to relay 2/117.

For additional information regarding short circuits to voltage supply, see Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .

HINT: The voltage between #2 and ground should be approximately 0 volt. If the voltmeter indicates an incorrect value, the control unit must be replaced.
