Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-160A

The engine control module (ECM) checks the difference in the requested throttle position from the actual position.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-160A is stored in the engine control module (ECM) f the engine control module (ECM) registers that the difference is sufficiently great to affect emissions (normally during warming up of the three-way catalytic converter (TWC)).

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-160A can be diagnosed when the engine is running.

Possible Source 

• Contact resistance
• Defective electronic throttle unit (ETM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) lit.
