Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900C is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers an internal malfunction.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-900C can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute Value 

• Various internal signals in the engine control module (ECM) are replaced with default values
• The cruise control is disengaged when the malfunction is active
• The electronic throttle unit follows the pulse width modulation (PWM) accelerator pedal signal directly.

Possible Source 

• Poorly charged battery or corroded connecting cables
• Defective engine control module (ECM).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Malfunction indicator light (MIL) on.
• The engine misfires
• Cruise control does not function at all
• Poor accelerator pedal (AP) response.
