Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-1000 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers that the sensor circuit has a short-circuit to ground/voltage or if there is an open-circuit in the circuit.

Substitute Value 

If the pressure sensor to the intake manifold is OK, a filtered value from the sensor is used. Otherwise the value is set at 1013 hPa (corresponding to sea level).

Possible Source 

Internal fault in control module.

Signal too high: 

• open-circuit in signal cable in control module
• signal cable is short-circuited to supply voltage in control module
• defective atmospheric pressure sensor in control module.

Signal too low: 

• short-circuit to ground in signal cable in control module
• defective atmospheric pressure sensor in control module
• contact resistance in wiring in control module.
