• Ignition off.

  Check the communication cable between the gear selector control module terminal #2 and the transmission control module (TCM) terminal #B31 (#B21) for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

  Replace the circuit board in the top panel if no fault is found in the cable.

  Remedy as necessary.
