Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-P011126

Condition

Engine control module (ECM) checks the signal from the temperature sensor in the intake manifold at two different driving conditions. Check done first at high airflow with vehicle speed, then at idle and stationary vehicle.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The temperature difference at these two measuring points is unreasonably similar.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.
• Engine running.

Substitute Value 

• The value for the inlet temperature is generated to equal to the value for the fuel temperature.

Possible Source 

• Contact resistance in connector.
• Damaged air temperature sensor (integrated in mass air flow sensor).

Fault symptom[s] 

• Warning lights and chimes/Malfunction Indicator Light ("Check engine" light) indication/no indication
