Condition

The central electronic module (CEM) powers the fuel pump (FP) relay via an output. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers that the signal at the output is too low.

The fuel pump (FP) relay must be activated for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to be stored.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key positions I and II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Open-circuit in signal cable to the relay driver circuit
• Short-circuit to ground in the relay driver circuit.

Fault symptom[s] 

• The engine does not start.
