Checking The Component And Wiring

Check the voltage on the gear selector module (GSM) connector terminal #1-C13 to the output on the central electronic module (CEM). The voltage must be approximately 12 V when the back-up gear inhibitor is activated.

Check the control signal cable. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Take readings between:

• Central electronic module (CEM) terminal #A39 (#39) and gear selector module (GSM) connector terminal #1-C13.

Remedy as necessary.
