Checking components and wiring: Notes
Check the resistance of the air conditioning (A/C) relay. At +20°C the resistance must be approximately 96 Ω between terminals #2 and #4. For the resistance values:
- For 5-cylinder turbocharged engines and 6-cylinder engines 2001, see Component specifications .
- For 5-cylinder turbocharged engines and 6-cylinder engines 2002, see Component specifications .
- For 5 cylinder turbocharged engines and 6 cylinder engines 2003-, see Component specifications .
- For B5254T4 2004-, see Component specifications .
- For 5-cylinder normally aspirated engines 1999-, see Component specifications
Check the signal cable between control module terminal #B44 and air conditioning (A/C) relay terminal #4. Check the power supply between system relay terminal #3 and A/C relay terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.
