The Phone module (PHM) checks the status of the internal reserve system that contains microphone, speaker, SIM card reader, battery and antenna.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The control signal has incorrect value.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position I and II.
• Battery voltage between 9 - 16 V.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• The spare microphone is short-circuited to ground.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Text window and warning symbol/Text message
• Volvo On Call/Other Volvo On Call problems
• Volvo On Call/Does not work
