Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information HCM-U040181

Condition 

The control module is continuously supplied with information about current outdoor temperature from Engine control module (ECM) via CAN-communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Engine control module (ECM).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• Information from Engine control module (ECM) is incorrect/unreasonable.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Faulty outside temperature sensor.
• Fault-trace in transmitting control module.
