Last Affecting Cause
The parameter describes the last cause why the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) stopped the opening or closing phases.
Possible status:
- Open, activated from driver's seat or key
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected an activation, open, from the Light Switch Module (LSM) or key during the opening or closing phases.
- Open, activated from the Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM)
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM) has requested opening during the opening or closing phase.
- External handle
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the outer opening handle has been affected during the opening or closing phase.
- Close button, tailgate
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate closing button has been affected during the opening or closing phase.
- Low voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage below 9.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
- Overheating protection
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks its components so that they do not become too hot. If there is a risk of the components becoming too hot, the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) shuts down its functions for a limited time.
- Lock not unlocked
The vehicle was locked when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
The tailgate lock did not open when an opening phase was requested to the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), or the lock was locked when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- High voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage above 15.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
- Spindle motor open circuit
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the spindle motor's circuit is open during the opening or closing phases.
- Spindle motor current exceeded
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the spindle motor has been subjected to high currents during the opening or closing phases.
- Spindle motor lock relay
The relay for the spindle motor jammed at activation.
- Vehicle speed above 1 km/h
The vehicle speed exceeded 1 km/h when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- CAN communication error
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected a fault on the CAN network, which means that the liftgate cannot open nor close.
- Incorrect vehicle position
The vehicle found itself in a vehicle position that was Normal set or Assembly plant set when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Incorrect ignition position
The vehicle was in incorrect ignition position when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Opening hall sensor timeout
During an opening phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) is immediately stopped by an obstruction.
- Opening hall sensor blocking detected.
During an opening phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), the tailgate was stopped by an obstruction. Hall sensor's algorithm detected the situation.
- Opening current blocking detected.
During an opening phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), the tailgate was stopped by an obstruction. Current's algorithm detected the situation.
- Closing hall sensor timeout
During an closing phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), tailgate immediately stopped by an obstruction.
- Closing hall sensor blocking detected.
During an closing phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), the tailgate was stopped by an obstruction. Hall sensor's algorithm detected the situation.
- Closing current blocking detected.
During an closing phase of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT), the tailgate was stopped by an obstruction. Current's algorithm detected the situation.
- Signal for luggage compartment lighting and latch in second position active
Luggage compartment lid did not open when an opening phase was requested (the lock is active in the second position).
- Hall error
No movement detected when the tailgate motor is active or inconsistent hall sensor signal detected.
The parameter also indicates that the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) cancelled operation of the boot lid.
