Non Approved Opening, Cause
The parameter describes the last cause why opening the liftgate was refused. The parameter is only updated if the liftgate was opened using the external handle.
Possible status:
- Not available
No value saved or no affecting cause.
- Invalid voltage
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected voltage outside the range 10 V to 15.5 V and shuts down its functions as this voltage can damage components.
- Max. angle
The angle sensor detects maximum angle on the liftgate, which means that the liftgate is already open.
- Spindle motor, open-circuit or short-circuit to ground
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the spindle motor's circuit is open or short-circuited to ground.
- Motor protection
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks its components so that they do not become too hot. If there is a risk of the components becoming too hot, the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) shuts down its functions for a limited time.
- Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) deactivated
If the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) detects that is it installed on an incorrect vehicle or that the carconfig file does not correspond with what the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) expects, the unit and its functions deactivate. There may also be a fault in the control module's software which means that the control module deactivates itself.
- Closing motor active
If the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) detects that the closing motor is active, liftgate opening will not be approved.
- Spindle or retracting motor active
If the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) detects that the spindle or closing motor is active, tailgate opening will not be approved.
- CarConfig POT deactivated
The electric function of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) us deactivated according to the configuration parameter.
- Incorrect vehicle position
The vehicle found itself in a vehicle position that was Normal set or Assembly plant set when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Incorrect ignition position
The vehicle was in incorrect ignition position when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Vehicle speed above 1 km/h
The vehicle speed exceeded 1 km/h when the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was activated.
- Private locking
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the vehicle was locked when the liftgate was activated.
- Poor battery status
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) receives battery status from the Central electronic module (CEM), if the status is poor, no activations will be allowed.
- ECU in shutdown phase
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) was in shutdown phase when liftgate opening was activated.
- CAN communication error
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected a fault on the CAN network, which means that the liftgate cannot open nor close.
- External opening handle jammed
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the external opening handle has jammed and the liftgate cannot be opened.
- Liftgate close button jammed
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the liftgate close button has jammed and the liftgate cannot be opened.
- Hall sensor voltage short-circuit to ground.
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the hall sensor voltage has short-circuited to ground.
- Hall sensor input signal short-circuit to battery
The Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has detected that the hall sensor input signal has short-circuited to battery.
