Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can be read off and erased using the diagnostic tool.

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can only be erased when all the stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been read at least once, (occurs automatically in the diagnostic tool).
