Phone module (PHM) has a SIM-card reader for the customer's private telephone subscription. The SIM-card reader is located at the top, on the left side inside the glove compartment. Sometimes the thickness of different network operators' SIM-cards may vary, which may result in the contact faces on the SIM-card not having contact with the SIM-card reader's contact in Phone module (PHM). This may be the cause of calls being cut off and that the telephone returns to basic mode.

If the customer has a "twin card", an extra SIM card connected to the existing subscription, a comparison between the function of the cards must be carried out.

If the customer experiences reduced function at certain specific occasions/places, this can be due to poor local reception/coverage.

In cases where the customer has a subscription which does not work on more than one frequency, this can be a cause for the poor reception/coverage.
