Fault-Tracing Information

This troubleshooting only applies to vehicles that have problems with the memory function in the driver's seat. The symptom shall be that the driver's seat does not set-up correctly according to the key that opened the vehicle. On the other hand, the memory function shall work when you set-up the driver's seat manually using the buttons.

NOTE:

Before starting this symptom troubleshooting, check that no relevant diagnostic trouble codes are stored for the vehicle's driver's seat and its memory function.

NOTE:

Problem with the memory function in the driver's seat can only occur first 2-3 minutes after the vehicle has been locked.

Click on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool) to check that the vehicle is equipped with keyless entry system (KVM).

Is the vehicle equipped with Keyless vehicle module (KVM)?
