The central electronic module (CEM) checks the back-up gear inhibitor.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-3F02 is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) registers a short-circuit to ground in the back-up gear inhibitor circuit.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed at key positions I and II.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable for the back-up gear inhibitor.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Possible to engage back-up gear even though the car rolls forwards.
