The Central electronic module (CEM) checks the communication with the Remote Receiver Module (RRX) via a standardized serial communication method - LIN (Local Interconnect Network).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

LIN-communication with the Remote Receiver Module (RRX) is incorrect or missing.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

Ignition position I, II and III.

NOTE:

The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute Value

None.

Possible Source

No power supply to the remote receiver module (RRX).
Open circuit on the ground cable to Remote Receiver Module (RRX).
Open-circuit in the signal cable to the remote receiver module (RRX).
Internal error in the Remote Receiver Module (RRX).
