Central electronic module (CEM) receives signals from tire pressure sensors in the wheels via the remote receiver. The messages sent out by the sensors contain the air pressure for each tire, the sensor's ID-number and the voltage for the sensor's internal battery. The sensors are activated when the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h (12 mph).

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• Combination of parameters that the system for tire pressure warning (TPMS) uses is not known.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition switch position II.

Substitute Value 

• Standard values are used from the local configuration in central electronic module (CEM).

Possible Source 

• The control module's configuration does not correspond with the vehicle's vehicle configuration.
