Check Lin Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)
The Central Electronic Module (CEM) both transmits and receives information via a standardized serial communication method - LIN (Local Interconnect Network).
If the control module registers serious interference in communication, the LIN-diagnostic trouble codes CEM-DDXX are generated.
This part of troubleshooting is performed to check if the Gas Discharge Lamp Module (GDL) interferes with the LIN-communication.
The troubleshooting only applies to vehicles equipped with GDL-lights.
If the vehicle is not equipped with gas discharge lamps, click the No button to continue.
Disconnect the Gas Discharge Lamp Module (GDL).
Click on the VCT2000 symbol.
Establish whether relevant LIN diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are stored in the control module.
These should be remedied first.
Are there relevant diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)?
- YES
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.
