Checking The Power Supply And Ground, Electrical Power Steering Module (EPS)
- Ignition off.
Check that the following fuses are intact:
- Main fuse by battery
- The fuse for the electric power steering module (EPS) in the engine compartment fusebox
- The fuse for the electric power steering module (EPS) in the central electronic module (CEM).
Check the power supply cable from the engine compartment fusebox to the electric power steering module (EPS). Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the cable between the ground terminal and the electric power steering module (EPS). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Check the ground terminal for the electric power steering module (EPS). Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation.
