• Ignition on.

  Check the power supply and ground to the park assist module (PAM) by performing a function check as follows:

  Engage reverse gear and release the hand brake. The text "Park assist active" or "Park Assist on" should appear on the display.

Does the text "Park assist active" or "Park Assist on" appear on the display? 

• YES 

  Refer to CHECKING COMMUNICATION WITH PARKING ASSISTANCE MODULE (PAM) 

• NO 

  Refer to CHECKING THE POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND
