Identifying The Damper Motor Module (DMM)
HINT: Identification of damper motors requires that the relevant damper motor is run to the limit positions. These runs can take up to 30 seconds. It is important that a battery charger is connected when identifying the damper motors.
- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.NOTE:
Climate Control Module (CCM) and damper motors can be affected by the temperature. The vehicle should have normal room temperature when performing this service.
Carry out identification as follows:
- Ignition on.
- Click on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool). Wait until identification has been carried out.
- Ignition off.
HINT: If identification cannot be carried out, this may be because one of the damper motors is damaged. To check for a damaged damper motor, check that the actual/preset range is correct. You can also check whether a control module/sensor is damaged or incorrectly installed by reading off the detected/expected control module/sensor.
