Check The Steering Wheel Module (SWM)

The Steering Wheel Module (SWM) has registered an internal fault.

HINT: The steering wheel angle sensor is integrated in the Steering Wheel Module (SWM) and cannot be replaced as a separate unit. 

If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent malfunctions may be due to interference at start-up of the Steering Wheel Module (SWM) or may be another type of recurring problem. he fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. f the fault recurs, replace the control module.

Replace the steering wheel module (SWM) in the event of a permanent fault.

Remedy as necessary.
