Condition

The steering wheel module (SWM) continuously checks the system components. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module registers that the rain sensor function is present but that the rain sensor button is not installed.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

• None.

Possible Source 

• Incorrect control stalk, installed in the left-hand side of the car.

Fault symptom[s] 

• Rain sensor button missing.
