Checking The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)

• Ignition off
• Check the connectors for the brake control module (BCM) and the body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC). Check for contact resistance. Check for oxidation
• Ignition on
• Wait approximately 60 seconds
• Read off the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC).

  If the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is intermittent, the fault was probably contact resistance or oxidation in the connectors for the control module or the body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC).

Is the status of the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) permanent? 

• YES 

  Refer to CHECKING THE WIRING 

• NO 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
