Reading Off Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)

• Ignition off
• Wait two minutes to allow time for the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to be stored in the memory for the transmission control module (TCM)
• Ignition on
• Read off the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) by clicking on the VCT2000 symbol in VIDA (Volvo scan tool).

Is diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-0049 still stored? 

• YES 

  Refer to REPLACING CONTROL MODULE AND PROGRAMMING 

• NO 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.
