Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information TCM-019B
Condition
The gear selector module (GSM) communicates with the transmission control module (TCM) via an internal network, Local Interconnect Network (LIN). The gear selector module (GSM) controls functions such as parking block, immobilizer, manual shifting (Man) and the indication of the chosen gear position in the top panel of the gear selector.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if there is no power supply to the gear selector module (GSM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is switched on.

- None.
Possible Source
- Contact resistance in the connector
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable
- Open-circuit in the power supply cable.
Fault symptom[s]
- General warning lamp lit
- No manual shifting
- The gear selector indication is not working.
