Checking Lock-Up Solenoid SLU

By activating Lock-up-solenoid (SLU) it is possible to detect if the problem is in or near the solenoid.

• Ignition on.
• Press on the symbol for VCT2000 in VIDA (Volvo scan tool) to start the service.
• Check when activating that Transmission control module (TCM) triggers current to the solenoid (approx. 1000 mA) and that feedback current follows the requested current.

Is the function OK? 

• YES 

  Refer to CHECKING FOR PERMANENT OR INTERMITTENT FAULTS 

• NO 

  Refer to CHECKING THE OIL QUALITY AND THE OIL LEVEL IN THE TRANSMISSION
