Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-8D02
Condition
For diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-8D02 to be stored, neither the ignition switch lighting or the stop lamp may be activated.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM-8D02 is stored if the central electronic module indicates a short-circuit to supply voltage or an open-circuit in the high level stop lamp or the ignition switch lighting.
NOTE:
High level stop lamp applies only to S60/S80. For other models this is controlled by the rear electronic module (REM).
Possible Source
- Open-circuit in the circuit for the ignition switch or the high level stop lamp
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the circuit for the ignition switch or the high level stop lamp
- Defective ignition switch lighting
- Defective high level stop lamp.
Fault symptom[s]
- The stop lamps do not light when the brake pedal is pressed
- The stop lamp lights constantly.
