HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.

• Ignition off.
• Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
• Ignition on.
• Check if the communication with Gear selector module (GSM) works by moving the gear selector to position Man. Then move the gearshift selector toward both + and -, and check that the value has been updated in the driver information module's display window.

  The fault is permanent if the value does not change.

  If the value changes, this indicates that the fault is intermittent, i. e. the fault was present previously but is not active at the moment.

Does the status change? 

• YES 

  VERIFIED:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
